Understanding Medical Restrictions

About a year ago, I realized that there were some issues with my medical plan. I was diagnosed with a serious condition, but my treatments weren't going along quite as nicely as I would have hoped. I started thinking about different ways to streamline things, but I knew that I needed the help of my medical provider. I headed in to a medical clinic, and they worked with me to figure things out. I wanted to start a website to encourage others to find the help they need each and every day. Check out this blog for moe information that could help you.

Reasons To Price Your Chair Massages More Competitively Than Your Table Massages

If you're a massage therapist who has recently decided to expand his or her repertoire of services by offering chair massages, one of the first things that you'll need to think about is how you'll price them. Chair massages are usually shorter in length than table massages, but this doesn't mean that you should automatically price the chair massages at a specific percentage of what you charge for a table massage. For example, if you charge $80 for a 60-minute table massage, you shouldn't automatically set a 30-minute chair massage at $40 or a 15-minute chair massage at $20. Here are some reasons to price these massages more competitively than chair massages.

You'll Use Little To No Supplies

Outside of the massage chair itself, giving massages in this manner doesn't involve the use of supplies. Whereas you'll go through a considerable amount of massage oil that you need to pay for when you offer table massages, chair massages seldom involve such supplies because your clients remain clothed. Because you'll essentially be spending less of your income on the purchase of supplies that you use up, you can price your chair massages a little more competitively.

There's No Laundry To Do

A massage therapist's work doesn't end when his or her final client of the day leaves the clinic. The massage therapist must wash and dry all of his or her sheets so that they're freshly cleaned in advance of the arrival of clients the next day. Doing laundry — sometimes, multiple loads per day — requires time and money. This effort eats into your free time, and you must also pay for the laundry detergent, the water, and the heating of the water. Chair massages don't involve sheets of any type, meaning that these expensive and time-consuming steps won't be necessary after a day of giving chair massages.

There's Less Wasted Time

When a client arrives for a table massage, he or she may spend several minutes getting undressed, as well as several minutes getting dressed again at the conclusion of the treatment. You're essentially standing around waiting during both of these times, and if you treat several clients each day, you're looking at a considerable amount of time that is wasted. You won't face this issue with chair massages, as clients will be on your chair perhaps seconds after arriving, and be gone just a moment or two after the treatment ends. The fact that you're wasting less time means that you might be comfortable pricing chair massages more competitively.
